Dr. Sandip Shah, a distinguished medical professional with over 35 years of transformative contributions to Indian healthcare, has been appointed Chairman of the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL). A Gold Medalist in MD Pathology and Bacteriology from B.J. Medical College, Ahmedabad, Dr. Shah excels in pathology, molecular biology, and transplant immunology.
As Joint Managing Director at Neuberg Diagnostics and Founder of Neuberg Supratech Reference Laboratories, Dr. Shah oversees over 35 laboratories across Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh. His groundbreaking work includes advancements in automation, transplant immunology, and molecular histopathology. He has served as Chair of the Medical Labs Accreditation Improvement Committee and as a mentor at NABL prior to this appointment.
A CAP Inspector and visiting faculty at IIM Ahmedabad, Dr. Shah has spearheaded healthcare innovations, including India’s first drive-through Covid testing facility, conducting 3,500 tests in a single day. His efforts supported large-scale Covid testing and Whole Genome Sequencing for municipal corporations.
Dr. Shah has published 25 research papers and presented 15 posters globally. His contributions have been recognized with prestigious accolades, including the Luminares Award and the White Coat Wizard Medical Pioneers Award.
