Apollo Hospitals has announced the launch of the Apollo Research Academy, an ambitious initiative designed to position Apollo as a global leader in healthcare research and innovation. Led by Professor Ravi P Mahajan CBE, the Academy will unify efforts across various Apollo entities, including the Apollo Health Education and Research Foundation (AHERF), Apollo University, ARI, Apollo Research Centre, and Apollo Clinical Innovation Group. This initiative aims to create a cohesive hub of research excellence recognized internationally.
The Academy will focus on five key areas: Capacity and Culture, Sponsored Research, Investigator-Driven Research, Data Sciences, and Innovation. These areas will be developed through a strategic framework that emphasizes fostering a culture of education, skill development, and resource sharing to drive collaborative projects within and beyond the Apollo ecosystem. It will expand sponsored research through partnerships with Contract Research Organizations (CROs) and build national and international consortiums to enhance investigator-driven research. Additionally, the Academy aims to establish a globally recognized Centre for Digital Health and Precision Medicine, focusing on innovation, research outputs, and grant funding. It will also nurture innovation hubs and incubators, fostering talent and partnerships to turn innovative ideas into tangible healthcare solutions.
