Omega Hospitals, known as Hyderabad Institute of Oncology, has secured Rs 500 crore in funding from a fund managed by Morgan Stanley Private Equity Asia. As India’s second largest cancer-focused hospital chain, Omega operates over 10 hospitals with a total capacity exceeding 1,400 beds.
The infusion of capital aims to support Omega Hospitals in expanding its presence across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and neighboring states such as Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, and West Bengal. The primary objective is to enhance its capability in delivering high-quality, comprehensive cancer care services throughout India. Omega Hospitals enjoys a robust reputation in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for its excellence in cancer care, distinguished medical professionals, and state-of-the-art facilities.
This partnership with Morgan Stanley PE Asia, marking their second investment in an Indian cancer hospital chain within a year, is expected to expedite Omega Hospitals' journey towards becoming the largest cancer care provider in India in the coming years.
