Philips, a global leader in health technology, has appointed Bharath Sesha as Managing Director for the Philips Indian subcontinent, effective September 1, 2024. In his new role, Bharath will drive Philips' growth strategy in India, with a focus on enhancing customer satisfaction and operational excellence. He will oversee the healthcare business headquartered in Gurgaon and hold responsibility for Philips' Licence to Operate in India, including the Philips Innovation Campus in Bengaluru, the Healthcare Innovation Centre in Pune, and Global Business Services in Chennai.
Bharath succeeds Daniel Mazon, who served as Vice Chairman and Managing Director until April 2024 and has since moved to a global role at Philips headquarters in the Netherlands. With over two decades of global experience, Bharath brings deep expertise in the Indian market, particularly within the pharmaceutical and chemical industries. His leadership is characterized by strategic vision, business development acumen, and a commitment to operational excellence. Before joining Philips, Bharath was Managing Director at Heubach Colorants India Ltd. He holds a Master’s degree in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and an MBA from the Institute for Technology & Management.
