DNAnexus announced a partnership with Oracle on Wednesday, aimed at integrating their respective products for precision health data analysis. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The collaboration entails making DNAnexus’ data management and analysis platform available to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle Health, and Oracle Database customers. This integration extends to utilizing OCI’s integration services for healthcare applications.
The partnership seeks to leverage Oracle’s expertise in AI pipelines and industry partnerships to expedite genomic analyses and enhance AI models. DNAnexus is already utilizing OCI AI infrastructure for running genomic reports. DNAnexus CEO Thomas Laur expressed alignment between Oracle’s focus on rapid global cloud deployment and electronic health records with DNAnexus’ platform, enabling management, analysis, and collaboration on various data types.
Oracle’s Global AI Cloud Director, Dan Spellman, emphasized the collaboration’s potential in advancing personalized medicine and healthcare innovations. Oracle’s extensive ecosystem and global cloud presence across 69 regions complement DNAnexus’ proficiency in genomic data management and analysis.
DNAnexus, amid recent restructuring, has previously engaged in similar data analysis collaborations with entities like Curio Bioscience and TMA Precision Health. This latest partnership underscores the company’s commitment to facilitating advancements in precision health through strategic collaborations and leveraging complementary expertise.
