The PULSUS Group has announced plans to establish an AI-based Pharma Healthcare IT Hub in Ameenpur, Sangareddy, Telangana, with an investment of ₹300 crore. This initiative aims to revolutionize both the healthcare and IT sectors, potentially generating around 50,000 jobs and significantly boosting the local economy.
Dr. Srinubabu Gedela, CEO and Managing Director of PULSUS Group, revealed the ambitious project at the 73rd IPC Congress in Hyderabad, emphasizing its alignment with the congress theme of "Role of Indian Pharma: For Global Wellbeing." The hub, leveraging advanced artificial intelligence, intends to optimize processes across drug development and healthcare delivery, promising enhanced precision and improved patient outcomes.
Initial projections indicate the hub will directly create 10,000 jobs within its operations and catalyze an additional 40,000 jobs indirectly through ancillary industries and services. Located strategically in the IT/ITeS Zone of Ameenpur, the hub will benefit from robust infrastructure and connectivity, supported by the Telangana government and Software Technology Parks of India.
Hyderabad, renowned as India's "Bulk Drug Capital" and "Vaccine Capital of the World," plays a pivotal role in the pharmaceutical industry, contributing over 40% of the country's bulk drug manufacturing. Telangana's proactive approach to innovation and infrastructure has propelled it to rank second in manufacturing per the Innovation Index Rankings 2022, boasting the highest per-capita income in the nation for 2022-23.
