CAR-T Cell Therapy,Blood Cancer Awareness Month

MOC Cancer Care & Research Centre has introduced CAR-T Cell Therapy, a groundbreaking treatment now available to patients in India. Widely recognized for its effectiveness in treating certain blood cancers such as leukemia, myeloma, and lymphomas abroad, this therapy brings new hope to Indian patients. CAR-T therapy, which utilizes a patient's own immune cells to target and destroy cancer, is now a more accessible and affordable option in India.

Dr. Suraj Chiraniya, a leading hemato-oncologist and BMT specialist at MOC, emphasized the importance of early diagnosis, stating, “Early diagnosis is life-saving. Our campaign aims to educate the public on blood cancer symptoms and advanced treatments like bone marrow transplants and CAR-T cell therapy, which offers unprecedented results by harnessing the patient’s immune system to fight cancer.”

Dr. Ashray Kole, a renowned oncologist at MOC, remarked, “CAR-T Cell Therapy represents a paradigm shift in cancer treatment. By making these advanced therapies more accessible, we aim to provide a fighting chance to patients, even against the most aggressive cancers.”

The launch coincides with Blood Cancer Awareness Month, an initiative by MOC to promote awareness about blood cancers and the promise of advanced therapies. The campaign focuses on early detection, patient support, and the potential of new treatments to improve outcomes for those battling blood cancer. Through these efforts, MOC seeks to enhance awareness, encourage research, and make life-saving treatments more widely available.
